Brenda Sue Schafer

Brenda Sue Schafer, age 50, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully November 1, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.

Brenda was born June 4, 1966, in Saginaw, to Alex and Joanne (Doepker) Schafer. She worked for 25 years as a waitress at Main Street Café in Pigeon, where she was very well liked by her customers. She enjoyed attending her boys sporting events and Trinity United Methodist Church. Her children were the love of her life.

Brenda is survived by her children: Jordan and Tyler Heckroth; mother, Joanne Schafer; sister, Lori (Steve) Sella; niece, Nikki Sella; nephew: Ryan; great nephews: Alexander and Benton Sella; great niece, Laikyn Sella; and the grandparents of her boys, Kathy and Larry Heckroth.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Alexander Schafer; brother, Gary Schafer; sister, Leanne Schafer; and grandmother, Catherine Schafer.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, November 4, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Demorest Cemetery in Akron Twp.

Memorial donations may be given to Thumb Blue Water Youth for Christ, USA Schools (Boosters) or to the family.
