Brian James Honeman

Brian James Honeman of Vassar, age 63, passed away on October 5, 2024 at his home. Brian was born October 25, 1960 in Saginaw, the son of James Arthur Honeman and Bonnie (Powlus) Barker. Known for his skilled hands and creative mind, Brian was a dedicated handyman with a natural talent for building and fixing things. Whether it was a small household repair or a larger project, he approached each task head on. Brian was a wonderful woodworker and created many keepsakes. You could often find him enjoying the peace of the outdoors, fishing in his favorite spots or appreciating the bright, colorful flowers. Nature was his sanctuary, and he found joy in the simple beauty it offered.

Brian leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Bonnie Barker; sisters, Jennifer (Robert) Blackmer and Amy Barker; niece, Ashley Volz; great-niece, Madison; great-nephew, Owen; several aunts and uncles. Brian was preceded in death by his father, James Honeman; brothers, Bruce Honeman and Jimmy Honeman.

In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
