Brian P. Thompson

Brian P. Thompson, age 52, of Evergreen Twp. went home to the Lord, Thursday afternoon, February 5, at his home with his family by his side following a long battle with cancer.
He was born April 11, 1956 in Sandusky to the late Edwin and Viola (Kursinsky) Thompson.
Brian grew up in the Minden City area and was a 1974 graduate of Ubly High School.
On July 10, 1982, he was united in marriage to Sharlene Reid at the Deckerville United Methodist Church and has lived in Evergreen Twp. most of his married life.
Brian was a carpenter all his life, working with Holdwick Construction the past 17 years, retiring recently for health reasons.
Surviving are his wife, Sharlene; five children, Matthew, Elisesha, Aaron, Sarah and Leah all at home; six brothers, Mike of Deckerville, Tim (Rose) of Clarkston, Dan (Margaret), Steve (Sharon), Ed (Kim) all of Deckerville and Ben (Michelle) of Snover; three sisters, Cathy (Gary) Haight, of AZ, Becky (Gary) Stauffer of Saline and Anne (Tom) Kinney of Colorado Springs Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were three infants, twins, Peace Patience and Courage Strength in 2005 and John Melvin Christian in 2008.
Graveside services for the family were conducted Friday afternoon at Evergreen Twp Cemetery. A memorial service will be conduct 3:00 PM Sunday, February 8, at the Deckerville Bible Church.
