Brian Conrad Volz

Brian C. Volz, age 61, of Bay City, formerly of Owendale, passed away June 22, 2023 at McLaren Flint Hospital.

Brian was born November 13, 1961, to the late Albert and Irene (Royalty) Volz. He graduated from Owengage High School, loved making stained glass windows, genealogy, cleaning headstones and uploading over 800 photos to find-a-grave, and taking care of his flowers.

Brian is survived by his partner, Brian Schoonmaker; brother, Ronald (Barbara) Volz

of Sandusky; sister, Sherry (James) Miller of Pigeon; brother-in-law, Conrad Kleinfeld; nephews: Christopher (Cherell) Kleinfeld, Nicholas (Regina Hurren) Kleinfeld, Anthony Volz and Matthew Volz; great nephews: Colton and Corbin; great niece, Ashlyn; aunt, uncle and godmother Shirley (Fred) Engbloom of Swartz Creek; and special friends: Peggy and Penny.

Proceeded in death by his parents and sister, Sharlene Kleinfeld.

Visitation will be Monday, June 26, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Grandlawn Cemetery in Pigeon.
