Bruce Dennis Hornbacher

Bruce Dennis Hornbacher, age 71, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

He was born to Claude and Clara (Roemer) Hornbacher, December 30, 1942 in Huron County. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church – Kilmanagh on February 7, 1943 by Pastor Stoskoff and Confirmed March 25, 1956 by Pastor Essig. Bruce attended Kilmanagh Lutheran School through the 8th grade and graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1960.

He was on the Finance Board for many years at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. He farmed, drove milk truck, worked for various farmers, worked at the Sebewaing Co-op and retired from Gemini Plastics in Ubly in 2007.

Bruce is survived by his mother, Clara; siblings: Royce (Sheila) Hornbacher, Rhoda (Wayne) Bolzman, Dave Hornbacher, Rudy (Tona) Hornbacher, Ruby (Paul) Martinez and Jan Hornbacher; Aunt, June Bush; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Hornbacher; brother-in-law, Wayne Robert Bolzman, a stillborn great nephew, Aaron Bolzman; and great nephew, Logan Bolzman.

Visitation is Friday, February 7, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8PM.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church – Kilmanagh. Visitation will begin at the church at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.

Burial will take place privately.

Memorial donations may be given to the Sebewaing Twp. Library or St. John's Lutheran Church-Kilmanagh.
