Bryan R. Nicholas

Bryan R. Nicholas age 62, of Elkton former Laker custodian died Tuesday morning, January 4, at Bay Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 23, 1948 in Detroit to Robert and Lorraine (Crist) Nicholas. They lived in Davenport, Iowa until 1955, when the moved to Pinnebog Rd. in Colfax Twp.

Bryan was a 1967 Laker High graduate and was employed by the school thru the coop program when he graduated. In 1969, he was inducted in to the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. When he returned he continued his position at the school retiring in June 2001.
Surviving are his mother, Lorraine Lewis of Bad Axe; his father, Robert Nicholas; siblings, Shelley (Ed) Ryan of Chicago, Greg (Sandy) Nicholas and Mark (Tammy) Lewis of Kinde, Stanley Lewis and Wesley Lewis of Bad Axe, Ken Lewis of Owendale and Lisa Simmons of Palms. Preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Lewis.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, January 7 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton. Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday.
Memorials may be given to the Laker Schools Library.
