Bryan Todd Toner

Bryan Todd Toner of Cass City, age 55, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Onaway. Bryan was born July 9, 1967 in Cass City, the son of Betty (Auvil) Toner and the late Todd Toner. On April 9, 1988 at the Deford Methodist Church, Bryan was united in marriage with his best friend and soulmate, the former Annette Sue Vandemark. In 1990, he began what would be a thirty-two-year long career as a residential technician with Tuscola County Behavioral Health, retiring on November 6, 2022. Bryan was a member of the Anchor Cove Church in Caro. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time on his boat, fishing, working around the house, and working on the farm - especially with his father-in-law, Jerry Vandemark. Bryan was an avid hunter, with many trophies that made it to his Wall of Fame. More so than anything else, Bryan cherished spending time with his wife and family. Bryan is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Sue Toner of Cass City; children, Justin Toner of Marlette, Chantell Toner of Kalamazoo, and Lief Parr of Burton; his mother, Betty Palmer of Caro; two brothers, Brett Toner and his fianc, Jacqui Sauve of Toronto, and Brandon Toner and his wife, Angela of Ubly; and his mother-in-law, Connie Vandemark. In addition to his father, Bryan was preceded in death by his step-father, Wilber Palmer; and his father-in-law, Jerry Vandemark. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Anchor Cove Church in Caro with Pastor David Wilczynski officiating.
