Calvin Crowton, age 71, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his home. He was born November 17, 1938 in Detroit, the son of the late Harry P. & Dorothy Jean (Totten) Crowton. Calvin grew up in Detroit and worked as a baker in several Detroit area bakeries during all of his working life. Calvin was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Ferndale. He moved from Ferndale to Cass City in 1996 and moved to Caro to live in 1998. One of Calvins passions was collecting antiques, as well as gardening and baking. Surviving are four brothers, three sisters and their spouses, Ronald Crowton of Melvin, MI, Sally & Frederick Bischoff of Brown City, MI, Harry Jerome & Delores Crowton of Dryden, MI, Karen & Richard Baker of Washington, MI, Timothy & Norma Crowton of Holly, MI, Daniel & Jennie Crowton of Wales Township, MI, Darlene & Dean Peters of Howell, MI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by three brothers, Conrad, Donald and Chuck Crowton.
