Calvin Arthur Diebel

Calvin Arthur Diebel, age 80, of Owendale, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017, at Huron County Medical Care Facility under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Calvin was born February 2, 1937, in Pigeon, to Clarence and Violet (Born) Diebel. He attended the County School and Owendale Schools. He was raised in the Lutheran religion, attending the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Bach. He worked at ST & H gas station in Gagetown for many years and helped on the family farm.

Calvin is survived by his children: Karen Phinney, Kimberly Wright and Kathy (Jay) Nichol; sister, Lois Blondell; 7 grandchildren: Matthew, Noah, Aaron, Renee, Collin, Karissa and Kyle; and 3 great grandchildren: Levi, Lauren and Kaitlyn.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Violet; and 2 brothers: Raymond and Robert Diebel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Grant Township Cemetery in Gagetown.

Memorial donations may be given to Compassus Hospice.
