Carl A. Grigg, 69, of Elkton, died unexpectedly Friday, February 11, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City.
Carl was born June 9, 1941 at home to Russel and Ella Rose (Smith) Grigg of Elkton. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1959.
In 2003 he retired from Tower Automotive. He was a member of the Elkton Methodist Church and enjoyed music, spending time with his family, especially if it was a gathering with food.
Surviving are his son Kurt (Teresa) of Iowa, daughters Jodi of South Carolina, Melissa (Henry) Ozuna of Texas and Jamie (Bill) Gelinski of Pigeon; grandchildren Alicia, Isaac, Hunter and Austin; siblings Ella Mae Hollinshead of Elkton, Jeff of Imlay City, Ilene Young of Elkton, Lucille (Ken) Schember of Elkton, June Nicol of Deford and Jean Kuhn of Ohio; the mother of his children, Roxanna MacAlpine of Bay Port; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Cody Graf; brothers Robert, Loren and Leonard; and sisters Annabel Wiederhold, Dorothy Bouverette and Shirley Grigg.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Elkton United Methodist Church with Rev. Alger Lewis and Rev. Craig Pillow officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton and one hour prior to the service on Monday at church.
Memorials may be made to the Elkton Youth Center.
