Carl Alex Gyurko

Carl Alex Gyurko of Caro, age 66, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare - Cooper Saginaw due to a heart infection. Carl was born September 19, 1953 in Cass City, at Pleasant Home Hospital, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Mary (Balla) Gyurko of Caro. Carl was united in marriage with the former Diane Barrons on September 15, 1979 at Kingston United Methodist Church. He was a long-time resident of Caro, except for a few years spent in Grand Rapids where he achieved his technical training in electronics. His dedication to hard work was evident in his forty-six years of maintenance work at Walbro Engine Management in Cass City and was a long-time representative of the UAW. Carl's love of crime drama television programs such as NCIS, was only equaled by his love for antique tractors and classic, American muscle cars. Carl is survived by his loving wife of more than forty years, Diane Gyurko; two sons, Aaron and Brian; and one brother, Arthur Gyruko, Jr. all of Caro; several nieces and nephews; and Rui Syern of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary, in April of 1987 and his father, Arthur Sr. in September of 1983. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with a eulogy at 7:00 p.m. In keeping with Carl's wishes, cremation will follow.
