Carl W Heiden, Sr. age 80 of Meade Twp. near Elkton, died Tuesday afternoon, May 19, at his home while under hospice care.

He was born June 8, 1934, in Detroit to the late Carl and Elsie (Langley) Heiden. After high School Carl attended Wayne University.
In 1956, he and his family moved to Huron County settling a farm in Meade Twp. Carl farmed as well as working as the electrical supervisor at Active Industries. He later started his own business, Heiden Electronics, retiring in the late 90’s after 35 years in business.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Rockefeller, May 28, 1965 in Port Huron.
Carl was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elkton and in his spare time, enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; five children, twins, Jim (Jackie) Heiden of Pigeon, Tim (Barb) Heiden of Elkton, Ken (Val) Heiden of Elkton, Diana Heiden of Port Austin and Carl Jr of Saginaw; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Heiden of Louisville, KY.

Preceding him in death was a daughter-in-law, Amy Heiden and a brother, Gerald Heiden.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkton.
Rev. Rodney Schwab, pastor will officiate with burial in Colfax Twp Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Thursday and at the church after 10 AM Friday.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
