Carl C. Jakubos

Carl C. Jakubos of Ossipee, New Hampshire, formerly of Caro, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Mountain View Nursing Home in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Carl was born January 13, 1924 in Caro, the son of the late Teofel Jakubowske and Adelheid (Jablonske) Jakubowske Brock. After graduating from Caro High School at the ager of 16, Carl spent most of his life working the outdoors, both on the family farm and as a building contractor whose work is found in many Caro area homes. He was united in marriage with the former Lorraine G. Besky on January 22, 1951 in Bay City, and she preceded him in death. Carl enjoyed wildlife, dogs, horses, music, dancing, reading, and time spent with family. He is survived by three children, Sandra L. Rieck of Caro, Bonnie L. Jakubos of Sandpoint, Idaho, C. Jon Jakubos of North Sandwich, New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Beth Rieck of Bay City, Amy Rieck of Lake Orion, Jason Jakubos of Roseburg, Oregon, Kevin Jakubos of Sparks, Nevada, Karen Gray of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ryne Jakubos of Scottsdale, Arizona; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents and wife, Carl was preceded in death by four brothers, Willard, Paul, Alfred "Bud", and Lloyd; and one great-granddaughter, Ashley Lagos. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Indianfields Township Cemetery Chapel, 350 Ellington Street, Caro, MI 48723. The family will be present to receive friends at the Chapel on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service.
