Carl “Buck” Morgan, 84, of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at home under hospice care.

Carl was born December 11, 1937 in Bay Port to the late George and Georgia (McKeage) Morgan. He graduated from Bay Port High School in 1955, and then continued his studies at Central Michigan University, eventually receiving his Master’s Degree plus 30, all in Mathematics. He served in the US Navy Reserve as a Radio Operator. On November 6, 1959 he married Janet J. Newman at Hayes Methodist Church.

Carl spent his career teaching Mathematics, retiring from Saginaw Twp Schools in 1992. After retiring he returned to Huron County where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, being outdoors, fixing things and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, neighbor and friend.

Carl is survived by his wife Janet; children Margo (James) Anderson of Saginaw, Bruce (Ana) of Durand and Craig of Saginaw; grandchildren Kyle (Sunny), Kory (Megan), Solomon, Tyler and Jesus; great-grandchildren Anthony, Eva, Logan, Olivia, Jordyn, Emma, Sommer, and Terrin; and sister Margaret Swartzendruber of Saginaw. He was preceded in death by his son Scott, brothers George Jr, Ken, Sam, Xelle, and Bill and sisters Ann Morgan and Wanda Thomas.

A memorial service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, April 19th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon with Rev. Michael Sawicki officiating. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church in Pigeon.
