Carlton Lapratt

Carlton D. LaPratt, age 90, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007 at his home, following a brief illness. He was born June 19, 1916 in Tuscola County, the son of the late William Edna (Pelo) LaPratt, and was a lifelong area resident. He married the former June M. Daniels on June 21, 1945 in Caro. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2005. Carlton was employed by General Motors at the Buick plant in Flint for many years, retiring in 1983. Carlton enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, working in his garden and all of his pets. Carlton is survived by four children and their spouses, Sharon Richard Spencer of Caro, Bonnie Jacob of Caro, David Michelle LaPratt of Union City, Scott Tena LaPratt of Cass City; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Carlton was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy LaPratt in 1967 and by six sisters and one brother.
