Carol K. Forster, 87, of Elkton, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Scheurer Health in Pigeon.
Carol was born October 22, 1934 in Bay Port to the late Gerald and Marie (Southworth) Henne. She graduated from Pigeon High School in 1952. On December 13, 1952 she married Walter Forster; he preceded her in death on February 8, 2009.
Carol retired from Elkton Petroleum Cooperative as a bookkeeper. She and her husband restored cars together, with her expertise being interior upholstery. She was a member of Thumb Area Antique Car Club. Carol was known for her butterhorns and eggbread, a skill she passed down to her family. She enjoyed reading, knitting, puzzles and playing cards.
Carol is survived by her daughters Gail Brown of Elkton, Joan Orjada of Arizona, and Ann (Robin) Buschlen of Pigeon; grandchildren Brad Dubs, Marc (Alaina) Dubs, Lindsie (Pratik) Verma, Sarah (Louis) Dachtyl, Amanda (Rob) Cronk, and Jenna (Spencer) Lindenberg; great-grandchildren Tenishia (Aaron) Gaeth, Jessica Fritz, Stella Dachtyl, Anthony Dachtyl, Kennedy Cronk, and Avery Cronk; great-great-grandchildren Eli and Rylan; sisters-in-law Dorothy Henne and Chris Forster. She was preceded in death by her sons-in-law James Brown and Mike Orjada, siblings Onalee Bendrey, Wayne Henne, Joyce Smith, Lois Anderson, Dale Henne and Clare Henne.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, June 17th at Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00am Friday at church and continue until the time of the service.
