Carol Prikopa

Carol Prikopa, age 84, of Pigeon, formerly of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Rose Garden Senior Living.

Carol was born July 27, 1931, in Chicago, IL, to the late Charles and Ruth (Gherke) Iannella. She married John Prikopa on July 29, 1956, in Park Ridge, IL at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering, heading up craft fairs and sewing doll clothing. She was very active as a parent, volunteering in the local PTA, bowling coach, and helping with girl scouts and cub scouts. Her husband fell in love with her at first sight, stating "She was the girl of my dreams".

Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years, John; children: Cheryl (Gregory) Kleen and Charles (Jennifer) Prikopa; grandchildren: Jessica (Timothy) Sova, Monica Schuette, Charles Prikopa and Lindsey Prikopa; great grandchildren: Teagan Marie Sherer and Caleb Sova; brother, Clifford (Holly) Iannella; sister, Char (Mark) Praxmarer; and loving cat, Annie Mae.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Cathy (Rick) Sorensen.

A burial service will take place Thursday, June 30, 2016, at New Bay Port Cemetery at 3:30pm.

Memorial donations may be given to the Sebewaing American Legion Post # 293.
