Carol Marie Skidmore

Carol Marie Skidmore of Caro, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison in Saginaw. Carol was born October 12, 1934 in Fairgrove. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Elgene (Cramer) Beller and a graduate of Fairgrove High School. On July 24, 1956, Carol was united in marriage with Kenneth Skidmore who preceded her in death on December 17, 1986. In her early days, she enjoyed working at the State Savings Bank in Caro. Carol devoted her life to her family and was the best mother, grandmother, and sister anyone could ask for. Her spare time was spent playing games, working puzzle books, and enjoying her friends and family. She was a longtime member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. Left to cherish Carol's memory are her children and their spouses, Brian & Ann Skidmore of Caro, Lisa & Craig Weaver of Cass City, Karen & John Lachman of Frankenmuth, Amy & Kevin Lupton of Clarkston; grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon & Brad Sundholm, Kevin & Meghin Skidmore, Brent & Whitney Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Carlie Lachman, Jarred Lachman, Kendall Lupton, Olivia Lupton, and Tyler Lupton; two great-granddaughters, Brynn and Claire Sundholm; siblings and their spouses, Anne Burkel, Sandra Singer, Catherine & Gene Mueller, Lee & Laura Beller, Wendy & Dennis LaFond; sister-in-law, Betty Skidmore; and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by one grandson, Alec Lachman; three brothers-in-law, Glen Burkel, Gene Skidmore, and Adam Singer. Carol's family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Tuscola County Medical Care Community for taking such good care of her these past three and a half years. Private funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro.
