Carol S. Smith

Carol S. Smith, age 47, of Bad Axe/ Pigeon, died Thursday morning, January 15, at Courtney Manor following a long illness.
She was born March 20, 1961 in Gaylord to Dale Rapson and the late Patricia (Morley) Rapson and moved to Ubly in 1964. A short time later they moved to Pigeon where she attended Laker High School. After her junior year at Lakers, she moved with her family to Zepher Hills, FL. She came back to Michigan in the early ninties and back to Bad Axe in 1998.
She had attended St Francis Borgia Catholic Church and enjoyed watching NASCAR races on TV and had loved tending to her dog, Bear.
Surviving are her father, Dale Rapson of Bad Axe, two brothers, Richard (Theresa) Rapson of Zepher Hills and Al (Kim) Rapson of Alpena; her niece, Chloe and nephew, Taylor.
A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, January 17, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
