Carolyn Adlam

Carolyn Adlam, age 84, of Unionville, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019, at Charter Senior Living in Bay City.

Carolyn was born September 29, 1934, in Vassar, to Walter and Naomi (Handy) Winarski. After high school she attended one year of college for nursing and married Clifford Dean Adlam on August 15, 1953, at the Unionville Moravian Church. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2014. She worked as a Bell Telephone Operator, USA Schools Bus Driver and was the Unionville Village Treasurer. She enjoyed being in the Unionville Card Club for about 40 years, working crossword puzzles, wintering in Florida, traveled all over the world, and most of all spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her 3 children: Michael (Becky) Adlam of Unionville, DeAnn (Greg) Pinder of Beaverton, and Shelly (Don) Sakon of Unionville; grandchildren: Brooke (fiancé Austin Rupprecht) Adlam, Matthew Adlam, Jennifer (Tim) Mast, Greg (Celest) DeLisle, Nicholas (Heather) Sakon and Matthew (Hayley) Sakon; 15 great grandchildren; sisters: Dolores Bohn and Shirley (Roland) Houthoofd; brohter-in-law and sister in Law: Robert (Janet) Adlam; and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Royce Winarski, brother-in-law, Robert Bohn, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Theron (Joyce) Adlam.

The visitation and funeral service will all be in one day, Monday, June 24, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 1pm.

Burial will be at Demorest Cemetery in Akron Township.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
