Carolyn Moore

Carolyn Sue Moore, age 65 years, of Lapeer, formerly of Caro, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Lapeer Regional Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1940, in Gratiot, Michigan. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a great storyteller who was known for her sense of humor, especially having the ability to laugh at her own expense. Sue enjoyed cleaning and decorating her house, as well as collecting jewelry. She enjoyed QVC shopping, and watching American Idol and the annual Westminster Dog Show. Sue will be loved and missed by her family and many friends. She held a very special place in her heart for her Sheltie, Rumble, and her late dog, Tweety. Sue is survived by her husband of twenty years, Leroy Moore of Lapeer; one son Shane LaValley and Diane of Mayville, and one daughter, Shannon (Maurice) Seeger of Midland; two step-daughters, Amber (Alan) Cox of Waterford, and Ann (Jamie) Hill of Lake Orion; six grandchildren Nathan, Joshua, Jake, Quinn, Ashley and Jamie; her dear friends, Wanda (David) LaValley of St. Clair Shores; as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Anticipating her final journey home are her father, James L. Geilhart; mother and step-father, Vera (Joe) Rogers; one brother Jim Geilhart; and one niece, Dawn Forrester. A memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Flanders of Juniata Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the Tuscola County 4-H Program.
