Carolyn Woods

Carolyn Mae Woods, age 69, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw, following a brief illness. She was born July 5, 1943 in Caro, the daughter of the late Louis and Leona (Brown) Cook. Carolyn was united in marriage with James Woods on May 16, 1964 in Caro. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2000. Carolyn was a homemaker that dedicated her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed baking and had an in-home child care facility for a period of time. Carolyn is survived by her special friend, Wayne Cooper of Vassar; three children and their spouses, Jolie & Ronald Weston of Kissimmee, Florida, Kurt Woods of Marlette, Kreg & Kellie Woods of Caro; Waynes son, Terry Cooper of Millington; three grandchildren, Ronald Weston, Jr. of Kissimmee, Florida, Katie and Megan Woods of Caro; six siblings, Ellie & Harvey Sayles of Vassar, Carl & Edie Cook of Dickerson, Texas, Willy & Patty Cook, Lyle & Lori Cook, all of Yakima, Washington, Ervin & Cindy Cook of Starke, Florida, Chris & Sandy Cook of Yakima, Washington. In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Cook in 1983. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Anchor Cove Outreach Church, 201 East Sanilac Road (M-46), Caro, with Pastor Dave Wilczynski officiating. Burial will follow at the Germania Cemetery in Marlette. The family will receive friends at the Anchor Cove Outreach Church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund.
