Carolyn Young

Carolyn C. Young, 80, of Bad Axe, Michigan, passed away on April 20, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1945, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Florence (Fritz) Schubach. She was a proud graduate of Laker High School, Class of 1963.

Carolyn had a deep love for horses and was a dedicated equestrian. Her lifelong passion for riding, as well as watching derby matches, brought her immense joy throughout her life.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Dana (Bill) Cullen of Penokee, Kansas; her son, Don (Jean) Young of Leslie, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Edler, Kelsey (Matt) Schulz, and Kadi Young. She was also a great-grandmother to Emery, Westin, and Adalynn.

Carolyn is further survived by her sisters, Anna Marie Krohn, Selma Thiel, and Ila Waller, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eunice Leitch, and her brother, Jack Schubach; brothers-in-law, Donald Krohn, Cal Waller, Oliver Leitch, and Bob Thiel; and sister-in-law, Deena Schubach.

A private family service will be held. Rest now at the end of your days.
