Casimir Raymond Bielaczyc

Casimir “Casey” Bielaczyc, 91, of Caseville, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon.

Casey was born December 1, 1923 in Muskegon to the late Walter and Alexandria Bielaczyc. He was a decorated World War II fighter pilot in the 78th Army Air Corps Fighter Squadron flying P51 Mustangs out of Iwo Jima. He married Charlotte Mary Nadeau on November 18, 1944 in Detroit.

Casey retired as a Detroit firefighter in 1974 and promptly moved to Caseville. He was an active member of the Caseville Eagles FOE #3690. He will be greatly missed as a good friend to those who knew him. He was a fabulous chef, avid fisherman, gardener, mechanic, plumber, carpenter and all around wonderful loving man.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Charlotte “Peggy;” children Richard of Harper Woods, Raymond of Florida, Ann Marie (Solecki, Dixon, Durand) of Pontiac, Robert of Michigan, Theresa Ann Manley of Florida and Roger of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Rem, Jennifer, Anthony, Ein, Keith, Crystal, Zack, Damien and Jake; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 11th at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Military honors will be presented by the Caseville American Legion. Interment will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and one hour prior to mass in church on Monday.
