Catherine "Kay" Briesmeister

Catherine “Kay” Briesmeister, age 90, of Caseville, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Kay was born February 28, 1917 in Pinnebog to the late Peter and Eveline (Deer) Guster. Her family moved to Detroit when she was six years old, where she stayed until marrying William F. Briesmeister on February 9, 1937 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Centerline. She moved to Warren and remained there until 1997 when she returned to Caseville to be near her family.

She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Frank (Mariane) of Caseville; 6 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband William, son William, daughter Marylou, brothers Sam, Joe and Pete, and sister Theresa.

A funeral mass will be at 12:00 Noon Monday, December 3, 2007 at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Rev. Kenneth Yaroch presiding.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of the mass at church.
