Catherine "Katie" Olah

Catherine A. "Katie" Olah of Caro, age 88, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born June 6, 1925 in Mount Clemens, the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Wild) Heimberger. She was united in marriage with Louis Olah on October 4, 1941. He preceded her in death February 2, 2000. Katie was a member of the Caro VFW Auxiliary Post 4164 and the Tuscola County Polish American Club. . Catherine is survived by many nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Elinor Moyer and Dee Kratz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Olah on April 11, 1961; three sisters, Christina, Anna and Betty; and one brother, Jack. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro VFW Auxiliary Post 4164.
