Cecil Lee Adams

Cecil Lee Adams of Caro, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Cecil was born January 3, 1939 in Caro, the son of the late Hurshel and Carmen (Curtis) Adams. Cecil proudly served his country for eleven years while stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. He met the love of his life while stationed there, the former Brigitte Theresa Jager, and they were united in marriage on December 21, 1962, coming to America through Ellis Island on Halloween of 1963. Cecil was employed with General Motors as a forklift operator for more than thirty years, retiring in 1999. He loved hunting, all types of fishing, including making his own sinkers, spending time at the casino, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading old Western novels, small engine repair, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family. Cecil is survived by his wife, Brigitte; two daughters and their spouses, Marion & Eddie Wiggins of Caro, Michel & Mark Johnson of Caro; four grandchildren, Ashley "Jeanie" and and Sasha Johnson, and Alexis Adams of Caro, Cory Wilczak of Marlette; one great-granddaughter, Alana; siblings and their spouses, Nelda Stevens, Curtis & Penny Adams, Denise Gusek, Linda & Lawrence Spiekerman, Kim & Mark Carr; two sisters-in-law, Lil Adams and Alice Adams; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Erik Adams; five brothers, Robert, Richard, Johnny, Alan and Gerald; four sisters, Elma Marion, Alberta Jones, Carmen Ferol, and Karen Newton. In keeping with Cecil's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Caro Moose Lodge on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Military honors afforded by the Caro American Legion Post #7 and Caro V.F.W.
