Celesta Paradis

Celesta (Guy) Paradis, age 91 years, of Royal Oak, formerly of Caro, died on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born on December 26, 1915 in Cheboygan County. She went to Detroit as a young lady and worked for Chrysler Corporation until her retirement. She moved to Caro in the mid 70s and lived here until four years ago. She loved playing the organ and piano, crocheting, knitting, reading her Bible, and she had a green thumb. She was truly a senior citizen advocate. Celesta was member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Unionville. She is survived by one son, William (Jo Anne) Holmquist of Farmington Hills; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth, Leo, Lloyd Guy, Bertha Tyler, Frances Fish, and Edna Fern Scnepp. Special thanks to longtime friend, Doris Mester, residing in Tendercare in Cass City. The funeral service will be held at Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lyle Davis officiating. In accordance with Celestas wishes, cremation is taking place and burial will follow. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Caro Senior Meal Site, HDC.
