Charles H. "Chuck" Lange

Charles H. Lange, age 51, of Pigeon died Monday morning, November 2, at his home following a two week illness.
He was born October 25, 1958 in Pigeon, to Henry and Delores (Thick) Lange. Chuck grew up in the Pigeon area and was a 1977 graduate of Laker High School. After high School Chuck joined the US Navy (Seabee's) and served his country for 20 years retiring in 1998 as a Petty Officer First Class. He returned to Pigeon and was currently employed at Huron Castings in Pigeon.
On September 5, 1998, he was united in marriage to Dana M. Young in Pigeon.
Chuck's big love after family was riding his Harley with friends. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church and a life member of the Tip of the Thumb VFW Post #2236, Pigeon.
Surviving are his wife, Dana; two sons, Charles Jr. and Kenderick both of Enid, OK; two step children, Kyle Edler of Elkton and Kelsey Edler of Pigeon; his parents, Henry and Delores Lange of Pigeon; siblings, Gary (Jane) Lange of San Diego, CA, Mary (David) Johnson of Columbiaville, Henry (Deborah) Lange, Jr. of Pigeon and Kathryn (Robert) Tamblyn of Caseville; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 6, at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon. Rev. Timothy Loehrke, pastor will officiate with burial and military honors at the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Cross Lutheran Scholarship Fund or Pigeon VFW toward the purchase of new Honors gear and equipment.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday at the church.
