Charles Dost

Chuck Dost, age 48, passed away suddenly Friday, August 29, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Chuck was born October 7, 1959 in Caro, the son of Paul T. and Freida (Schilk) Dost. Chuck attended Caro High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1977, serving until his honorable discharge in 1979. Chuck was a self-employed drywall installer and founded CJL Drywall ten years ago. He enjoyed deer hunting, crafting things with wood, and was a member of the Mayville Eagles. Chuck was an avid Detroit Lions fan and loved attending his kids sporting events. His lifes greatest joy came from spending time with his three children, Lena Marie Dost, Justin Paul Dost, and Matthew Charles Dost, all of Caro. He is also survived by his father, Paul T. Dost of Caro; four siblings and their spouses, Sharon McClorey of Gagetown, Raymond Jacqueline Dost of Saginaw, Pamela Scott Phillips of Marlette and Valerie Beckrow of Caro; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a special friend, Fran, also survives. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother in 2004, and brother-in-law, Gerald Beckrow in 2007.
