Charles George "Chuck" Dutcher, 87 of Bay Port, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon.

He was born in Bay Port, Michigan on January 7, 1927 to Melvin and Leona (Stott) Dutcher.

On March 22, 1952 he married Nellie Diachenko in Bay Port.

Chuck was a plumber, working for Lester Fogle and Ralph Harder until they retired. He spent the rest of his working years at the Bay Port Fish Company until his health failed. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a former member of the Fairhaven Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie; daughter, Donna (Kevin) Wade of Linden; son, David (Margaret) Dutcher of Mission Viejo, California; grandchildren, Aaron (Kelly) Wade and Lindsay Wade; step-grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Davis and Shawndra Davis; sister, Virginia McKenzie of Washington, Michigan; brothers, Melvin Peter (Edna) Dutcher of Caseville and James (Shirley) Dutcher of Clinton Township; brother-in-law, Willliam Diachenko of Bay Port; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Bay Port United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating.

Memorials may be made to Bay Port United Methodist Church, Home and Hospice Advantage or Fairhaven Township Fire Department.

Visitation at Bay Port United Methodist Church:
Saturday, February 15 9:30 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
