Charles Franklin Klinesmith, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Caro Senior Commons. He was born on September 22, 1938 in Caro, the son of the late Charles L. and Bessie (Kauffman) Klinesmith. For over thirty years, he was employed as a long haul semi-trailer truck driver, going all over North America. Charles was forced to retire in 1992 due to a medical condition. He moved from Idaho back to Caro and has lived here since. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his old car. Charles is survived by three sons, two daughters, and their spouses, Timothy & Susan Klinesmith of Mayville, Jeff Klinesmith of Croswell, Charles Klinemith of Saginaw, Beth Marie & Mike Valentine of Pigeon, Jari & James Mahoney of Armada; twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Klinesmith of Arizona, Ray Klinesmith and his wife, Sharon of Millington; two sisters, Donna Rohleder of Caro, Elsie Stratton of Flint; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shelly Kay Klinesmith. In keeping with Mr. Klinesmiths wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro with Pastor Michael Wester officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro.
