Charles William (Charlie) McBrayer, Jr., age 60, of Sebewaing, Michigan passed away November 4, 2017.
Charlie was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 15, 1957 to Charles Sr. and Barbara (Eicher) McBrayer. He graduated from Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School in 1975 and Central Michigan University in 1980. Charlie moved to Dallas, Texas in 1982. While in Texas, he married Carolyn Barrera in Irving on May 4, 1985, and they have two children. Charlie enjoyed a successful career in marketing, sales & service, and retired in 2014.
Charlie is survived by his son David (Summer Whiteley) and granddaughter Kailyn of Granbury, Texas, daughter Meredith of Benbrook, Texas, brothers Randy, J.D. (Amy), and Tom (Vicki) all of Sebewaing, Michigan, and several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews in Michigan and in Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles McBrayer, Sr. and Barbara McCollum, and nephew Herbert Anthony (Tony) McBrayer.
The cremation has taken place, and a graveside memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on November 20 th at the St John's Lutheran Cemetery. St. John's Lutheran Cemetery is located at the intersection of Anton Street and E. Sebewaing Street in Sebewaing, Michigan.
All who wish to pay their respects to Charlie and his family are welcome to attend. The immediate family will receive friends and family immediately following the service at the home of J.D. McBrayer, 679 Davis Street, Sebewaing, Michigan 48759. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Charlie's son, David McBrayer.
