Charles John Sally, age 89, passed away at his home in Unionville on February 1, 2017.
Charles was born in Detroit on April 19, 1927, to Charles and Anna (Detloff ) Sally. He served in the United States Army at the end of WWII in Austria. He married Dolores Bartsch. She preceded him in death in 2011. He retired from General Motors doing machine repair. Charles was a lifetime member at the VFW and was a member of the Sebewaing American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a "jack of all trades" and was always happy and joking around.
Charles is survived by his children: Debra (Andrew) Matika, Charles (Suzanne) Salerio, Albert Sally and Carolyn Sally; stepsons: Jim (Pat) Clare and John Clare; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings.
Charles requested cremation to take place and no service.
Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice.
