Charles Franklin Standish

Charles F. Standish, 86, of Caseville, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Charles was born December 12, 1935 in Battle Creek to the late Joseph and Fannie Mae (Bailey) Standish. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1954. He married Rosalie Lines September 28, 1957 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Detroit.

Charles retired as a school custodian from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1991. After retiring he moved from Roseville to Caseville. He enjoyed traveling, especially to New York City to see Broadway musicals and dining out.

Charles is survived by his wife Rose; daughter Colette (Tim) Durphey of Ortonville; brothers Jack and Leslie (Cindy). He was preceded in death by his sons Craig and Kenny; sisters Josie Gorham and Kathy Nichols and brother Richard.

Funeral services will be at Noon Wednesday, March 9th at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Burial will be in Battle Creek Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:30 and continue until the time of service.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
