Charlotte Mary “Peggy” Bielaczyc, 92, of Caseville, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care.
Peggy was born February 28, 1923 in Detroit to the late Charles and Elsie (Gleason) Nadeau and then moved to Muskegon. While attending high school she met the love of her life Casimir “Casey” Bielaczyc. They were married on November 18, 1944 in Detroit while Casey was a pilot in the Army Air Corps. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2015.
Peggy raised her seven children in Detroit before moving to Caseville in 1974 when her husband retired from the Detroit Fire Department. She was active in St. Roch Women’s Society, Caseville Eagles FOE#3690 Auxiliary, the Caseville Library Club’s Holly Berry Fair and a volunteer for numerous local functions and groups. She had many friends in the Caseville area and many lifelong friends from the Detroit area. A dedicated mother and friend, she will be greatly missed by many.
Peggy is survived by her children Richard of Harper Woods, Raymond of Florida, Ann Marie (Solecki, Dixon) Durand of Pontiac, Robert of Michigan, Theresa Ann Manley of Florida and Roger of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Rem, Jennifer, Anthony, Ein, Keith, Crystal, Zack, Damien and Jake; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald, sister Joan and brothers Chuck and Tom.
A funeral mass will be at 11:00 Saturday, May 30th at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Interment will be in St. Roch Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to mass in church on Saturday.
