Charlotte Arlene Halasinski

Charlotte Arlene Halasinski, age 96, the sweetest, most loving and loved Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025. Born on Sunday, October 28, 1928, in Butler County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ellen (Sasse) McEvoy. Char married Joseph Halasinski at St. Mary’s Church on November 4, 1950. Their marriage was blessed with nearly sixty years, five children, and countless cherished memories. Sadly, Joe passed on March 27, 2010. Char retired from Kroger and was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. Raising four children under the age of five and welcoming a fifth child seven years later, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, ensuring they were always loved and cared for. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she delighted in watching over them after school and during the summers. She taught them and her children countless life lessons, instilled strong values, and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Char had a sharp mind and a playful spirit, always ready for a game of euchre or Yahtzee. She had her own set of rules—when playing with her, you always made sure to complete the top half of your Yahtzee scorecard first, and you never dared to call suit without having a bower! An incredible cook and baker, Char passed down many delicious recipes. Each family member had a favorite meal that she would lovingly prepare for their birthday, making every celebration special. Char was also an avid bowler, competing in numerous leagues alongside her husband, Joe, and friends. She spent countless afternoons and evenings at the bowling alley, where she not only enjoyed the game but also accumulated an impressive collection of trophies. Bowling was more than a sport to her—it was a cherished pastime that brought her great joy. She was a woman of unwavering selflessness, always putting her family before herself and never wanting to inconvenience anyone. Char was truly one of a kind—resilient, caring, and deeply loved. Her warm hugs, beautiful smile, and treasured traditions will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Char's legacy of love and devotion to her family will continue to be honored by those she leaves behind. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering support will never be forgotten, and the memories she created will be cherished for generations to come. Char will forever be remembered by her children, Ray Halasinski, Jeanne Wackerle, Karen O’Keefe, Beverly Frank, and Marilyn & Rick Reed; her beloved grandchildren, Carianne & Ty Robbins, Jennifer & Shane Martin, Marta Roznowski & Cody Waterman, Mara & Andrew Shorkey, Myles Roznowski, and Greg Frank; great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy, Andrew, Calista, Annabelle, and Faith Robbins, Scarlett and Teagan Shorkey, and Maylene and Hendrix Waterman. In addition to her parents and husband, Char was welcomed home to heaven by her siblings, John McEvoy, Virginia Korkoske, Henry McEvoy, and James McEvoy; son-in-law, Tom O’Keefe; and all of her adored kitties.
