Chelsy Ferne Curtis

Chelsy Ferne Curtis of Caro, age 24, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw, following long term health issues. Chelsy was born April 8, 1991 in Tawas. She attended Highland Pines School in Caro and was anxiously awaiting her graduation in June. Chelsy had an infectious laugh and spent her short life putting the needs of others in front of her own. People would often gravitate to her smile and seek her out when they needed to be consoled. Chelsy was the voice of the voiceless at Highland Pines and would never be found complaining about her circumstances. She had a natural connection with the young and old and used her talents as a volunteer at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. She had a deep love of animals, Minions and scary movies. Chelsy is survived by her mother, Lori Curtis and her fianc, Robert Haase, of Caro; two siblings, Shelby & William Badour of AuGres, and Brady Curtis of Saginaw; one niece and one nephew, Addison and Zackary Badour of AuGres; several step-brothers and one step-sister; her "favorite" grandmother, Marilyn Martin of AuGres; her best friend, Justin Fritz of Caro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her constant K9 companion, Star. Chelsy was preceded in death by her papa Gene Martin; and great-grandma Hink. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Phil Parkin of the Wahjamega Country Church officiating.
