Cheryl June Halasz

Cheryl June Halasz (Cheri Leiterman-Halasz), age 63, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Brian's House in Essexville, surrounded by her loving family.

Cheri was born March 1, 1954, in Pigeon, to Peter and June (Retzler) Leiterman. She worked as a certified medical assistant. She married Joseph Halasz on May 10, 2006. Cheri was very active in the Sebewaing American Legion Auxiliary, Caseville Eagles, and in the past enjoyed bowling. Cheri loved spending time with her fab 4.

Cheri is survived by her husband, Joseph; children: Paul (Renee) Crumm of Sebewaing, Marc'l (Shawn) Kish of Unionville, and Shane (Brittany Vincent) Heinitz of Sebewaing; brothers: Peter (Marilyn) Leiterman and Donald (Laura) Leiterman; grandchildren: Noah and Gabby Crumm, Ava June Kish, and Jade Heinitz; and nieces and nephews.

Cheri is preceded in death by her parents, great niece, Emma Rockwell, great nephew, Josh Brigham, and grand"nugget".

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8pm.

A memorial service will be Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Our Lady Consolata Catholic Church – Holy Family site, in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
