Cheryl Ann Shoup

Cheryl Ann Shoup, age 51, of Caseville, died suddenly Friday, October 8, 2010 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Cheryl was born in Caro on September 27, 1959. She graduated from Caro High School in 1978 and then received an associate’s degree from Davenport University. On March 29, 1980 she and Doug Shoup were married in Caro. They later settled in Caseville and raised their family there.

She was one of those lucky people who loved her job working at Huron Behavioral Health in Bad Axe as a medical transcriptionist. In the past few years she’s spent time at home enjoying her family, reading, and keeping in touch using the internet.

She is survived by her husband Doug; daughter Amanda (Ryan) Johnson of Caseville and son Korrey (Amanda Sturgill) of Midland; granddaughter Kaitlyn; mother Dorothy Johnson of Caro; sister Debra (Larry) Boitel of Caro and brothers Richard (Bonnie) Haslacker of Byron Center and David (Patty) Johnson of Fairgrove.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Haslacker and step-father Ray Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. John Gunden officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday.
