Christine Whalen

Christine, age 58, passed away peacefully at Hernando Pasco Hospice House in New Port Richey, Florida, following a courageous battle these last two years with cancer. She was born November 10, 1947 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Edward L. Helen C. (Okray) Stocke. Christine moved to Caro in the mid 1980s. She married Patrick C. Whalen on September 15, 1998 in Caro, moving to Florida at that time. Christine enjoyed and was very talented in crafts, especially knitting and was an avid reader. Christine is survived by her husband Pat; two children and their spouses, Emily Marie Shawn Shadley of Cedar Springs, MI, Gregory Adam Christy Bailey of Tampa, FL; one step-son, Joshua Edward Jamie Whalen of St. Johns, MI; two grandchildren, Alexis and Taylor Shadley living at home in Cedar Springs; one sister, Joanne Warren Moore of Troy; one brother, Jim Judy Stocke of Ann Arbor and several nieces and nephews. Christine will be missed by her family and many friends, as well as her little dog “Lucy”.
