Christopher Darrell "Chris" Ewald

Christopher Darrell Ewald of Caro, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of May 25, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side. Chris was born August 29, 1960 in Cass City, the son of Darrell and Nancy Ewald. He graduated from Unionville-Sebewaing High School and went on to join the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served for twenty years, retiring in 1998 as a Gunnery Sergeant. On September 30, 2020, Chris married the love of his life, the former Tina Downing. He enjoyed bowling, racing, and spending time with his wife and friends. Chris will be dearly missed. Chris leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Tina; and brother, Ken Thompson. Chris was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen; and father, Darrell Ewald. Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul McNett officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
