Christopher "Critter" Searles, Jr. of Fairgrove, age 30, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his home in Fairgrove. He was born June 10, 1987 in Lapeer, the son of Christopher, Sr. and Darlene (Huntley) Searles. Chris was a 2006 graduate of Kingston High School, and on August 18, 2007 he was united in marriage with the former Rebecca Johnson in Caro. He was currently employed as a lube tech at Moore Motors, and had previously worked as a driver at the Wolverine Center and Michigan Sugar Company. Chris enjoyed hunting, working on cars, playing video games, and taking care of his ducks, chickens and quail. He was a member of the Caro Church of Christ. Chris is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Bekki Searles of Fairgrove; two children, Kaia and Zoe, at home; parents, Chris, Sr. and Darlene Searles of Clifford; brother, Benjamin Searles and his wife, Sabrina, of North Branch; sister, Elizabeth Kowalski of Marlette; three nieces and one nephew, Layla, Taia, Kaylee and Alex. In keeping with Chris' wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Caro Church of Christ with Mr. Larry Turner officiating.
