Christopher Michael Sprague

Christopher M. Sprague, age 42, of Caseville, formerly of Bay Port died suddenly Saturday, January 24, 2009 at his home.

Chris was born January 1, 1967 in Bay City. He grew up in Bay Port and graduated from Laker High School in 1985. Chris worked doing construction with his father, at Active Industries in Sebewaing, and most recently bartending at the Blue Water Inn in Caseville.

He enjoyed fishing in Saginaw Bay and hunting for deer and elk. This past Christmas he offered to have his hair shaved off to raise money for local charity. He was a loving son, father, brother and will be remembered as being a good and kind friend to many people.

He is survived by his daughter Alicia Marie of Caseville; mother Phyllis Dubey and father John Pantelis; Stepfathers Gary Sprague and Rick Babiszewski, all of Bay Port; siblings Amy (Tom) Gettel of Sebewaing, Candace Krohn and Erika Sprague of Bay Port, Ryan Sprague of Unionville and Kristen Pantelis of Bay Port; grandfather Russel Sprague of Bay Port; Uncle John (Bev) Dubey of Caseville and aunt Patricia Braun of Essexville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Phyllis Dubey and Nick and Kate Pantelis; and uncles Robert and Louis J. Dubey.

A memorial service will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. John Gunden of the River’s Edge Church officiating.

Friends and family may visit between 2:00 and 5:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
