Clare William Finkbeiner

Clare W. Finkbeiner, 83, of Elkton, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Clare was born April 24, 1934 in Winsor Township to the late Otto and Esther (Geiger) Finkbeiner. He graduated from Pigeon High School in 1952. He married Grace Deming on November 3, 1956 at the Kilmanagh EUB Church. Clare worked as a farming advisor and used farm implement dealer. He was a member of the Elkton Lions and the Hubbard-Winsor Masonic Lodge, Pigeon. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golfing.

He is survived by his wife Grace; sons Rodney (Tammy) of Lake and Roger (Diane) of Sebewaing; 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey and sister Betty Pobanz.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, December 21st at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Urn interment will be in Grandlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 Wednesday at the funeral home in Elkton. Memorials may be made to the Lakers School Boosters.
