Clarence E. Brandenburg

Clarence Edward Brandenburg, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Independence Village in Frankenmuth.

Clarence was born to Edward and Wilhelmina (Kunisch) Brandenburg on August 29, 1924. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1942. Clarence farmed on the family farm in Sebewaing until 1950. He then moved to Detroit where he worked several retail sales jobs. He then took a job with Ford, Bacon & Davis where he traveled several states as a gas pipeline worker. He was retired and previously lived in Rockwood, Michigan before moving to Frankenmuth two years ago. He enjoyed painting and was into collecting and selling antiques.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frederick Brandenburg; sister, Florence Liken; and niece, Cindy Badour.

Clarence is survived by three nephews: Jim Brandenburg, Jerry Brandenburg and John (Denise) Liken; three nieces: Susan Beachy, Ruth (Kurt) Strickland and Pam (Jim) Pryor; and several cousins.

The visitation and service will be Monday, January 11, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Mark Brandt from St. Lorenz Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth will be officiating.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
