Clark James Faist, 84, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home under hospice care.
Clark was born in Pigeon on September 11, 1933 and graduated from Pigeon High School in 1952. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at Wallace and Morley Elevator for several years before going to work for McCormick Motors as a mechanic, retiring in 2003. He was a 37 year member of the Winsor Township Fire Department and a life member of the Pigeon VFW. He enjoyed baseball and playing fast pitch softball; and he was twice part of the state championship team, in 1961 and 1968.
He is survived by his son Jeffery (Heidi) of Owendale and daughter Tammy (Michael) Nutt of Pigeon; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brother Terry Wing of Oklahoma and sister Cathy (Terry) Krohn of Elkton. He was preceded in death by his mother Edna Faist Wing and wife Carol Grandmaison Faist.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, October 16th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton. Burial with military honors will be at Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon. Visitation will be 2-7pm Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Winsor Township Fire Department or the family.
