Clifford Richard Kubont

Clifford Richard Kubont, 69, of Caseville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014. He is survived by four children: Laurie (Andrew) Metanchuk of Wheaton, IL, Christine Kaczmar of Metamora, Scott (Angela) Kaczmar of Shelby Twp, and Evan Kubont formerly of Caseville; grandchildren: Peter, Drew, Cali, Shyann, Cody and Austin; brother Edward (Linda) Kubont and sisters Melanie (Dennis) Puidokas and Sue Kubont, all of Sault Sainte Marie; as well as various nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Mr. Kubont is predeceased by his parents Clifford Sr. and Doris (Burr) Kubont, brother Michael Kubont, and long-time partner Nancy Jean Evans. Mr. Kubont was a graduate of Sault Sainte Marie High School where he ran track and played offensive tackle. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Kubont previously resided in Rochester, Michigan, and retired after working many years there for Michigan Bell. A memorial service will be at 3:00pm Saturday, July 26th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with visitation from 1pm that day until the time of service.
