Clifford Ruppert

Clifford Ellis Ruppert, age 71, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home. He was born April 25, 1941 in Bay City, the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Gawlik) Ruppert. Cliff was united in marriage with the former Edith K. Wheaton on March 24, 1962 in Juniata, Michigan. He was employed at the Indianfields Township Cemetery for over fifteen years. Cliff enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, reading his newspaper, working on cars, small engines and puzzles. Clifford is survived by his wife of fifty years, Edith K. Ruppert of Caro; three children and their spouses, Clifford & Rhonda Ruppert of Caro, Christine & Tom DeVine of Caro, Melvin & Krissi Ruppert of Caro; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister and her husband, Bonnie & Jeff Snyder of Cass City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Ruppert; his grandson, Nathanal Scott Ruppert; one brother, Allen Ruppert and one sister, Mary Jane Ruppert. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Greg Mayberry officiating. In keeping with Cliffs wishes, cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Ruppert Family Discretionary Fund.
