Clifton J. “Kip” Ziegler was born in Caro on July 15, 1930. He died on September 13, 2007 in Jacksonville, Florida. He had also resided in Lady Lake, Florida until January of 2007. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and the State of Michigan. He was a life member of the V.F.W., Loyal Order of the Moose, the Eagles and the American Legion. He was a seven year cancer survivor, treated by Dr. John Salassa at the Jacksonville, Florida Mayo Clinic. He is survived by his sons, Jacob Roy Ziegler of Sandford, Florida, Charles Wayne Ziegler and wife, Debra, of Jacksonville, Florida, Robert William Ziegler and wife, Tanya, of Jacksonville, Florida, and daughter, Brenda Stilwell and husband, John, of Scottsdale, Arizona; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Ileen W. Ziegler and Rosy Jennette Ziegler; his father, Jacob Ziegler; his mother, Dorothy Ziegler; and a sister, Marlene English. Private family services were held. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor
